Grows well in poor soil as long as it is well drained. Slow growth will not get out of bounds and interfere with power lines, etc. It has a very picturesque, wide spreading, open habit. Ginkgo is not infested with any insect or disease. Long lived. These trees are grown from seed and are an unknown male and female mix. Ginkgo trees begin flowering and fruiting at age 30. Deep rooted will not raise sidewalks. Use in windbreaks and shelterbelts, Ginkgo will tolerate open windy areas.
