Works best in rocky soil that is difficult to penetrate.The KBC bar will penetrate soil cleanly and easily allowing less dirt to fall in the planting hole.Total length of bar is 39 inches. Blade is 4 inches wide by 12 inches long, 1 inch thick at top, tapering to a point. Weight is 10 pounds.
