Vigorous fast growing shrub to 10 feet in height. Spread 6 to 8 feet. Needs plenty of room to grow and is not considered a landscaping plant. Grown for its clusters of bluish-black berries, in late summer. Used for making jelly, preserves and wine. They are also a food source for wildlife. Any type of soil. Wetland tolerant.
