Grows 12 to 18 inches in height in any climate, sun, or partial shade. Coarse, strongly branched stems grow 2 to 6 feet in length. Perennial ground cover. Pinkish-white flowers June until frost. Beautifies problem slopes and banks. Extra hardy; never needs mowing. Chokes out weeds. Resists drought, disease and insects. Space staggered on 1 foot centers. Closer spacing will yield coverage sooner. Because of its long root, crownvetch requires about one year to become fully established. No significant top growth should be expected until second year after planting. Grows in any soil, clay, sandy or shale.
