Also known as Russian Arborvitae. A hard to find, dwarf, densely branched evergreen shrub. Height 1 foot; spread 15 feet. Well drained, moist soil. Soft textured bright green needles turning bronzy purple to brown in winter. Will tolerate partial shade. Used as a low growing ornamental. A native of eastern Siberia. This plant is as hardy as it gets.
