Description

A native tree 25 to 40 feet in height and 20 to 35 feet in width. Common Persimmon is slender with an oval-rounded crown, often very symmetrical.

The white, fragrant flowers are very sweet and a favorite of honeybees. An edible persimmon ripens with a deep orange color after several frosts. More than one tree is needed for pollination to produce fruit. Persimmon tends to sucker into groves or colonies, producing food for wildlife. The hard, heavy, close-grained wood is used for golf club heads, billiard cues and flooring. No shipments to CA

Easy growing trees

I purchased 50 of these last spring and injured my shoulder before they arrived. I was lucky to get them in pots on a drip system before surgery. Every tree survived the winter and are now in their permanent home. They are so easy to plant that I just ordered another 15.

Wow, thanks so much for the awesome review! Sorry to hear about your shoulder—that sounds rough—but we're really glad you were able to get the trees in pots and on a drip system before surgery. Sounds like they did great through the winter, and it’s awesome to hear they’re now all settled in their forever spots. Super happy to hear they were easy to plant too! Thanks for coming back for more—we really appreciate it and can't wait to hear how the new ones do!
