Description

A rather slender, columnar shaped, densely branched evergreen growing to a height of 6 to 8 feet but only 1 1/2 to 2 feet wide. The leaves are lustrous, dark green, slightly convex to 1 3/8 inches long and 4/5 inch wide. Female plants produce small greenish flowers in spring that bees and butterflies love. Inconspicuous, tiny, black berries develop in September or October which the birds are sure to gobble up. Drought tolerant. No pruning needed to maintain its remarkable shape. Great used as a hedge, privacy screen, as a border or as a specimen.
