Description

A vigorous growing, deciduous shrub. Grows to a height of 6 to 8 feet. Width 5 to 6 feet. Showy, extremely fragrant, double white flowers emerge in late spring on the fountain-like form. The wonderful, fragrant citrus smell is responsible for the orange part of its common name, Mock Orange. The sweet, orange blossom like perfume lingers in the garden as well as in bouquets. Attracts butterflies. The leaves are medium green in color. Not fussy about soil type, but must have good drainage. Easy to grow. Plant in full or half day sun. Striking landscape specimen or accent plant. Use as a low screen or informal hedge. Very effective as a background shrub.
