The Zelkova tree will grow 50 to 60 feet and is characterized by its short trunk dividing into upright spreading stems forming a broad round topped head. Dark green leaves in spring and summer, changing to yellows, oranges and reds in autumn. This handsome tree is well suited to lawns, residential streets and parks. Provides good shade and has easy fall clean up. Often grown as an ornamental. Commonly used for bonsai. Prefers moist, well drained soils.
